How The Program Works.

Submit an application with AHBN via the website, or by phone. One of our counselors is available to answer any questions you may have regarding the program. Upon AHBN approval, (normally within 72 hours) you may begin to shop for the home of your choice, with only minimal restrictions. The option deposit is required at this point. You will be paired with one of our REALTOR® partners, who will assist you in the selection of your home. Once you have found the home that meets your needs, AHBN will negotiate to purchase the home at the best possible price.

 

When An Agreement Is Reached, The Investor Provided By AHBN

Will Buy Your Home, And You Move Into It.

At the time of possession, you will move into your new home and begin to lease it. During this period, AHBN can assist you in resolving any credit issues or other obstacles, while saving for your future.

At the end of your lease period, you will have the option to purchase the home from AHBN's investor.

If you exercise your option-to-buy, you keep the difference between your price, and the market value of the home. This will typically cover your down payment and closing costs. It's that simple!

Do You Qualify?

To determine if you qualify for AHBN's lease-to-own program, answer these few simple questions:

  • Am I comfortable with the monthly lease payments? Our counselor will review your budget to help you decide what the best lease payment will be for you and your family.
  • Am I able to provide the option fee required for AHBN to purchase the home for me? Remember, the option fee secures your exclusive right to purchase the home, so you can start building your future today.
  • If my credit needs improvement, do I have the motivation and desire to curb my spending, manage my finances and make payments on-time during the lease period?
  • If I have gone thru a Bankruptcy, has the bankruptcy been discharged? You may not be able to qualify if your bankruptcy has not been discharged.
  • If I have had a foreclosure, was the foreclosure more than 12 months age? You may not be able to qualify if the foreclosure occurred in the past 12 months.
  • And finally, am I tired of throwing money away on rent payments and do I want to start creating financial independence for my family and myself?
